Did you know … Fyffes Ireland managing director Gerry Cunningham was on hand last week to launch Dundalk’s new away kit for the coming season? Fyffes recently announced that it would continue to be the shirt sponsor of the League of Ireland champions, and will support the club at local and national level.

Did you know ... Chinese imports of dairy products in January increased 51% in volume compared to the same month last year? According to IFA dairy chairman Seán O’Leary, Chinese inactivity has helped depress global dairy prices, but these new figures suggest that they will be more active through the year, the Irish Examiner reported.

Did you know... Shore Capital Stockbrokers has praised the efforts of the management team at Greencore in transforming the convenience foods group into "a potent force in the UK chilled prepared food market"? Shore Capital made its comments following a meeting with management, at which the group outlined its strategy for future growth in the food-to-go market. "We see Greencore sustaining good annual growth for the foreseeable future, the next two to three years, from prepared food in the UK, particularly food-to-go, where high single digit growth is envisaged by management for now," Shore Capital added.

Did you know … The Sunday Business Post made a profit of €18,801 for the 12 months to the end of June last year? This is in contrast to the loss of €638,273 experienced the previous year, The Irish Times reported. The upturn is attributed to enhanced advertising, a stabilisation in circulation, and cost controls, but the title’s readership is reportedly down 3.2% compared to a year ago.

The campaign sees Adshel bus shelters turn into WiFi ‘cold-spots’ that activate when the temperature drops below 2 degrees. Did you know … A €3,000 Kitchen Garden has been planted at Cork Association for Autism, as part of a campaign by GIY and Cully & Sully? The Grow at Work campaign, dubbed #GivePeasAChance, challenged participants to grow food at work, with the winners earning the opportunity to donate a €3,000 food garden to a charity or community group of their choice.
