Tesco Ireland announced today (4 April) that it will be hosting the the Great Irish Bake for Temple Street Children’s Hospital on 7 April.
The fund raising activity will take place across the retail giant's 148 stores nationwide.
Christine Heffernan, Corporate Affairs Director at Tesco Ireland, said, “At Tesco we are delighted to be hosting the Great Irish Bake once again for our charity partner Temple Street. It is always a fun filled day in all of our stores, so pop in to pick up a treat and support the little heroes of Temple Street at the same time.”
Reportedly, it is aiming to raise €100,000 to support the cost of constructing a new state of the art Ultrasound System and the purchase of new equipment for the Ear, Nose and Throat Department of the hospital.
Each year Temple Street Children’s University Hospital treats over 145,000 children from across the country and operates the busiest A&E department in Europe.
