Did you know?... Polish retailer Żabka has announced that it has opened its 7,000th outlet in the country in the city of Biecz. The retailer has adapted the external visualisation of the store to align with the historical character of the location, reports esmmagazine.com. Described in the literature as the ‘Pearl of the Podkarpacie Region,’ the city was one of the largest in Poland until the mid-sixteenth century. The store, also Żabka’s first in Biecz is operated by Anna Pilch, a franchisee from the region.
Did you know?... Metro France has partnered with the Loop initiative to reduce single-use plastic packaging in stores. The partnership relies on Loop's reuse deposit service, where the customer purchases and uses a product, but the manufacturer owns the packaging, reports esmmagazine.com. Currently, 91% of plastic produced in the world is not recycled, leading to more and more customers demanding a more eco-friendly packaging solution than single-use plastic.
