Tesco unveiled a first look at its 2014 Christmas range this week at No. 25 Fitzwilliam Place, creating a ‘winter wonderland’ in the venue.
Guests were offered festive treats from traditional Irish turkey to Tesco Finest Canapés and seasonal baked goods.
At the event, Tesco announced details of its 2014 turkey pre-ordering service, which will be available in stores from November 10. Orders must be placed in participating stores before December 15.
Guests also sampled some of Tesco’s range of Irish cheeses, which will be available at the ‘3 for €10’ special offer for Christmas.
Seasonal bakery items are now in store, including Tesco Finest Christmas Puddings, available in 227g, 454g and 907g and produced by Seerys bakery in Carlow. A new addition to the seasonal bakery range is a selection of bombes, including a salted caramel bombe and Belgium chocolate version.
Meanwhile, Tesco’s range of festive party food will be available in stores from the end of November, and includes 51 dishes, from brie and cranberry parcels to souflettes.
Some of this years most anticipated toys were also showcased at the event, including: My Friend Cayla, Teksta T-Rex, Furby Boom Crystal Series and Nerf Demolisher 2-in-1.
All surplus food from the evening was donated to the Whitefriar Community Centre, while all toys were donated to Tesco’s Charity of the Year, Temple Street Children’s Hospital.
