Aldi Ireland has announced the creation of more than 360 new jobs across the country and launched a recruitment campaign to hire new colleagues to fill these roles.
This follows a recruitment campaign for 450 people in November 2022, with all roles filled last year.
Commenting on the new roles, Niall O’Connor, group managing director, Aldi Ireland, said, “We are continuing to reinvest in Ireland by creating and maintaining jobs throughout the country and adopting the minimum wage for colleagues.”
Expansion Plans
According to the discounter, the new jobs arose due to the ongoing expansion of Aldi’s 155-store network.
O’Connor highlighted that Aldi’s wider commercial plan in Ireland will see it continue to expand and develop its store network. It has plans to open six new stores this year, the first of which will soon be opening in Adamstown.
“This store will represent the first store opening in Dublin since we announced our ambitious €73 million investment plans for the capital, which will see us build and open 11 new Aldi stores over the coming five years,” O’Connor added.
“Delivering value and choice convenient to customers has never been more important, as the survey findings show, and we are more committed than ever to continuing to deliver value for Ireland.”
