In the run-up to Christmas, Aldi has announced that it is extending its opening hours, opening from 8am during the Christmas weekend to give shoppers more time to pick up last-minute essentials ahead of the big day.
For late shoppers, opening hours will also be extended until 11pm.
According to the discounter, stores will also be open until 7pm on Christmas Eve.
Stocking Up
Commenting, Colin Breslin, managing director of buying and services, Aldi, said, “By extending our opening hours in the run up to Christmas, we can ensure that our customers have time to stock up on everything they need for an amazing Christmas.

Closed On St Stephen’s Day
Aldi advised that it will close its nationwide stores as usual on Christmas Day.
"To allow everyone have a well-earned break, we will be maintaining our tradition of keeping our stores closed on St Stephen’s Day,” Breslin added.
