Aldi Ireland Awards Contracts To Three Food Producers – Grow With Aldi

Aldi Ireland has announced that three entrepreneurial Irish food producers have won contracts as the overall winners of Grow With Aldi 2024.

As a result, Macey’s Factory, Moran’s Mega Jam and Pure Bea have secured contracts that will see their products stocked in all 162 Aldi stores nationwide.

The retailers selected the winners following a nationwide call-out that saw emerging food and drink producers from all over the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland apply to take part.

In May, 27 shortlisted finalists saw their products on sale in Aldi as part of a Specialbuy pilot promotion.

With this, three fan favourites came out on top: cinema-quality popcorn and candyfloss, tasty garlic mayonnaise, and healthy, heart-friendly oil sprays.

The Winners

Moran’s Mega Jam is a business based in Co. Cavan, run by husband and wife Kieron and Claire Moran.

Specialising in jams, chutneys and relishes, the Morans make their products with fresh local ingredients.

Their winning garlic mayonnaise is bursting with rich flavour, making it the perfect accompaniment to any dish.

Pure Bea is a Co. Wicklow business run by Keith Symes, producing a range of naturally blended, low-calorie olive, sunflower and rapeseed oil sprays.

As well as their delicious taste, the sprays are rich in nutrients like Vitamin E and Omega 3.

Macey’s Factory, a Co. Derry business run by father-and-son duo Shay and Mark Donnelly, produces popcorn and candyfloss.

Products include salty popcorn, sweet popcorn and flavoured candyfloss – perfect for a family movie night.

All three winners’ products will be available on Aldi shelves from 12 September and return as Specialbuys at various times throughout 2025.

‘A Huge Success’

Grow With Aldi is now in its seventh year, providing mentorship and guidance to foster growth and sustainability for small to medium-sized Irish businesses.

Since its establishment in 2018, in partnership with Bord Bia, Aldi’s initiative has invested over €10 million in the programme.
