Aldi Ireland is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day by spotlighting Irish suppliers, encouraging shoppers to make patriotic purchases over the holiday.
From 13 March, shoppers can snap up a huge range of Irish-made food and drink products that have emerged from the Grow With Aldi programme, now part of its seasonal range.
Grow With Aldi is a product accelerator and supplier development programme which selects the best of Irish producers and gives them a chance to have their items stocked at 163 Aldi stores nationwide.
Since 2018, Aldi has invested more than €10.5 million in the initiative, supporting hundreds of small businesses along the way.
Products
One such business is FemFuelz, a product developed by brother and sister team William and Kylie O’Donoghue which is designed specifically to meet the nutritional needs of women.
The Limerick-based supplement brand, which came up in Grow With Aldi 2023, is launching its FemFuelz White Chocolate Whey Protein (€16.49).
Since it first landed on Aldi shelves, FemFuelz has secured contracts exceeding €1.6 million with the retailer, helping to support its growth and expansion.
Customers can also fuel up with Sibly Cacao & Orange Energy Ball Pot 2-Pack (€2.95) from Grow With Aldi 2022.
Based in Ballydesmond, Co. Cork, the Sibly Food Co.’s range of energy balls have been a customer favourite since first arriving in stores nearly three years ago.
Also from the 2022 programme is Builín Blasta Smoked Onion Mayo (€4.49) – a fridge staple that recently claimed Gold at the Blas na hÉireann Irish Food Awards 2024.
Enhance meals with a pinch of Skillet & Spice Everything Seaosning (€3.99), a versatile pantry must-have from Co. Carlow that took part in Grow With Aldi 2024.
Sprinkle it over salads, add to morning eggs or toss into a stir fry – the options are endless.
All of these and more from past programmes will be available in store.
