Aldi Ireland is launching a Super 6 deal from 22 August to offer families savings on key items, making back-to-school easy and nutritious for all.
Kick off the school year with Aldi’s ‘Super 6’ deals on fresh food ingredients, along with a delicious recipe from value ambassador, budgeting mum of three Caz Mooney.
The ‘Super 6’ promotion at Aldi is available on a range of products year round, with discounts and of over 50% on specific fruit and vegetable items.
The retailer is also running a separate ‘Super 6 + 1’ promotion for its 100% Bord Bia Quality Assured meat and fresh fish to make the back-to-school shop seamless.

To celebrate the deals, Mooney has created a Quick Chicken Stroganoff recipe so the whole family can enjoy a hearty, flavourful meal without spending hours in the kitchen.
The total cost of the meal is €6.06, or €1.21 per portion for a family of five.
Quick Chicken Stroganoff
Ingredients:
- 400ml Bramwells Chicken Stock (€0.49 for 120g)
- 1 tbsp Ready, Set…Cook! Smoked Paprika (€0.59 for 40g)
- 4 tbsp Bramwells Dijon Mustard (€0.75 for 200g)
- Worldwide Foods Easy Cook Boil in the Bag Long Grain Rice (€0.79)
- 200g Clonbawn Sour Cream (€0.89 for 200ml)
- 4 Nature’s Pick Garlic Cloves (€0.99 for 200g)
- 2 Nature’s Pick Organic Brown Onions (€1.09 for 750g)
- 300g Egan’s Mushrooms (€1.19)
- 500g Butcher’s Selection Chicken Fillets (€2.99, reduced from €5.59 as part of Super 6+1 offer)
- Ready, Set…Cook! Salt, Pepper, and Parsley
- 2 tbsp Solesta Extra Virgin Olive Oil (€3.99 for 750ml)
Method:
- Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add diced chicken, season, and sear until golden, about 5-7 minutes. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
- In the same pan, add more oil if needed and sauté diced onions until translucent.
- Stir in minced garlic and smoked paprika, cooking for 1-2 minutes.
- Add sliced mushrooms and cook until golden.
- Pour in chicken stock, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce, mixing well.
- Return chicken to the pan and simmer for a few minutes. Reduce heat to low and stir in sour cream until smooth.
- Season with salt, pepper, and parsley. Serve with fluffy rice.
