Aldi Ireland has unveiled its selection of Bord Bia-assured barbecue meats and beer pairings ahead of the June bank holiday.
With sunny weather (hopefully) on the horizon, Irish consumers are ready to dust off the barbecue and make the most of the summer months.
To celebrate the upcoming June bank holiday, Aldi has cut the price on a number of barbecue favourites, such as beef, pork and chicken products.
The retailer also has a selection of refreshing beer to pair with a delicious summer meal.
Summer Feast
For classic burgers, the family four-pack of Butcher’s Selection Irish Beef Quarter-Pounders (€2.99) are perfect for the whole family.
The Specially Selected Irish Black Angus Ultimate 6oz Beef Burgers (€2.99 – down from €3.49) are a nice, classic option.
Also available are the Specially Selected Tipperary Dry-Aged Black Angus Rib Steak Burgers (€2.99), recognised by the International Taste Institute.
To maximise the summer feeling, pair the meal with a Saint Etienne Blonde Beer (€0.99) or premium Italian lagers Birra Mapelli (€2.19) and Rossini (€2.19).
Mix up the food selection with Irish Quick-Cook Chicken Fillets (€2.99 – down from €3.49), available with a Cajun or garlic-and-herb seasoning.
Also available is the Butcher’s Selection Irish Pork Belly Slices with BBQ Mexican-Style Marinade or Spicy Maple Marinade (€2.99) with coleslaw and fries.
Make it a meal to remember by adding Irish Basted Pork Loin Chops with Teriyaki-Style Marinade (€3.99), with a drink of Cullen’s Apple Cider (€2.09) to wash it down.

Aldi’s Specially Selected Brioche Burger Buns (€1.89) with Specially Selected Chipotle Ketchup (€1.99) and Specially Selected Mayonnaise with Extra-Virgin Olive Oil (€2.99) are key to building the perfect burger.
