With just under a week to go until Christmas, Aldi Ireland has revealed the quietest times to shop in the lead-up to the holiday.
The retailer has also revealed its updated opening hours for the festive period.
Aldi notes that 8am to 9am is typically the quietest time for customers to pick up festive shopping, though between 7pm and 10pm can also be a good time to shop in the days leading up to Christmas.
Meanwhile, the retailer expects today, Thursday 19 December, to be a quieter day to visit stores, as well as Tuesday 24 December, for those happy to leave it until the last minute.
Speaking about the holiday season, the communications director at Aldi Ireland, Padraig Barry, said, “For many, Christmas is a time for friends and families to gather together, often accompanied by tasty food.
“At Aldi, we’ve got everything shoppers need for a special celebration this Christmas, with a fantastic range of products that are both affordable and of excellent quality.”
In anticipation of the pre-Christmas rush, Aldi has extended its opening hours until 11pm on Monday 23 December, giving customers extra time to stock up ahead of the big day.
Aldi stores will close for three days over the holiday, offering a well-earned break to store colleagues – Christmas Day and St Stephen’s Day, 25 and 26 December, and New Year’s Day, on 1 January.
Stores will remain open until 7pm on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, for anyone looking for last-minute items.
Opening times may vary, depending on stores, so, to avoid disappointment, shoppers should check their local Aldi store details online, at https://stores.aldi.ie/store-finder.
