Aldi Ireland’s Kevin The Carrot Becomes Irish Rugby Team’s Kit Man

Aldi Ireland has launched its most recent campaign with Irish Rugby and the retailer’s famous mascot, Kevin the Carrot.

Since his injury, Kevin the Carrot has been trying to find his ideal supporting role within the Irish Rugby team.

His latest attempts – serving as a pitch-side reporter, singing the national anthem, and trying out as the team’s official kit man – have once again proved challenging for him.

Even with the support of two Irish rugby legends – Patrick ‘Rala’ O’Reilly and Paul O’Connell – Kevin has got the chop once again.

As the 2024 Autumn Nations Series approaches and the highly anticipated match between Ireland and New Zealand on 8 November draws closer, what is next for Kevin the Carrot, and does he have another trick up his peel?

Meanwhile, a highly unusual situation has emerged at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium, as sources say that something “peculiar” is happening on the pitch.

The sources said, “We’ve never seen anything like this before! Carrots are sprouting all over the pitch – left, right and centre.

“Every time we pull one out, another appears in its place.”

With some of the most eagerly awaited rugby fixtures set to take place in the coming weeks and some unusual activity spotted in the Aviva, watch this space to see if Kevin the Carrot will finally find his patch and become outstanding in his field.

Updates on Kevin’s journey will be posted on the @ALDI_Ireland and @irishrugby social-media accounts.
