Aldi Ireland has announced the opening of a new flagship store in Belmullet, creating 16 new jobs.
Located on the Tallagh Road, the new store will be Aldi’s fourth store to open in Co. Mayo.
Featuring Aldi’s Project Fresh layout and design.
The new store boasts a large shop floor spanning 1140m², 100 free car parking spaces, eight bike racks allowing for 16 bikes, wide aisles and hi-spec fixtures and fittings.
The store will be powered by 100% green electricity, the retailer said.
Supporting The Local Community
Aldi’s existing three Mayo stores are deeply involved with their local communities.
In the last 12 months, the stores have donated over 2,500 meals to local charities through FoodCloud, saving the charities over €3,000 for the same period while three Mayo charities have benefited from Aldi’s Community Grants Programme in the past year, each receiving a €500 bursary.
Aldi now operates 143 stores across the country.
