Aldi opened two new stores in Knocknacarra, Co. Galway and Newcastle West, Co. Limerick this morning (November 19th), creating 40 new jobs and bringing the number of Aldi stores in Ireland to 122.
The new Knocknacarra store is Aldi’s ninth store in Galway, while the Newcastle West store is Aldi’s third store in Limerick.
Customers to both stores this morning were served free samples from the brand’s Christmas range to celebrate the openings, while ten shoppers won €100 each in Aldi shopping vouchers.
Niall O’Connor, Managing Director for Aldi Mitchelstown Region, commented on the openings, “We are looking forward to welcoming many customers in the run up to Christmas to our stores, where they will find an unrivalled range of award winning foods, drinks and gift ideas for all the family.
"Irish consumers understand that shopping at Aldi means making genuine savings without having to compromise on quality.”
