Aldi has opened its new store in Oranmore, Galway at New Town Centre, creating 20 jobs.
The Oranmore store is the discounter’s eighth in Galway, and brings the number of Aldi stores in Ireland to 114.
The opening was celebrated with free breakfasts served from Aldi’s ‘Taste Truck’. The breakfasts were prepared using products from Aldi’s own breakfast range, which are sourced from Irish suppliers.
Galway Bay FM’s Baycaster was also on site, while five Aldi shoppers won €100 each in Aldi shopping vouchers.
Speaking at the store opening, Mark Mullins, Manager of Aldi’s new Oranmore store said, “We are delighted to open our new Oranmore store and look forward to welcoming many new customers from the local area. Each Aldi store we have opened so far has been a fantastic success and we are looking forward to serving the local community.”
