Discount retailer Aldi has announced that it plans to open a new Project Fresh store in Caherciveen, Co. Kerry.
The Caherciveen store, which expects to introduce 20 new jobs in the area, is part of Aldi’s planned €160 million investment in its store network.
The new 1,140 square meter store will also provide 72 free car parking spaces for customers and will be powered by 100% green electricity.
Choice, Quality & Value
“This is great news for shoppers and for employment in the town. Every new Aldi store brings greater choice, quality and value to more and more consumers across Ireland,” Niall O’Connor, managing director Aldi Mitchelstown Region said.
“Our commitment to our customers is we will never be beaten on price and will always provide the best value. Our new Swap & Save campaign launched in May. The goal is to remind shoppers about the saving that can be generated by swapping their weekly shop to Aldi.”
Aldi currently has seven stores in Kerry, from a total of 137 stores across the country, employing almost 3,500 people in Ireland.
The discount retailer is investing €160 million to expand and upgrade its Irish store network, committing €100 million towards constructing and opening 20 new stores, while Project Fresh sees a further €60 million investment to revamp the layout and design of all its stores nationwide.
