Aldi has launched a new advertising campaign, entitled 'Supplier Stories', which aims to showcase the retailer’s commitment to Irish sourcing.
The campaign is being launched on the back of the news that Bord Bia’s Retail Audit on the Bord Bia Quality Mark found that 82% of Aldi’s fresh meat products displayed the mark, giving Aldi the highest ranking of the nine retailers surveyed.
'Supplier Stories' aims to tell the stories of Aldi’s Irish suppliers, and features O’Sullivans from Cork, Aldi’s Irish Angus Beef supplier, and Martin Flynn, of Martin Flynn Nurseries based in Co. Dublin, which provides Aldi with locally-grown tomatoes.
The campaign is set to run across TV and press, as well as having a strong digital focus, and will also see the roll out of point-of-sale branding.
Aldi’s Group Buying Director Finbar McCarthy commented, "It is timely that we top Bord Bia’s survey the week we launch a new campaign focusing on our Irish farmers and producers.
"We have forged longstanding relationships with many Irish suppliers and producers from every corner of Ireland and our new campaign tells the story of these suppliers."
