Applegreen has reopened its Midway service area in Portlaoise, located at exit 17 on the M7, following a €3 million renovation.

Midway will now feature an M&S Food store within the outlet as part of Applegreen’s exclusive partnership with the retailer.

The newly revamped location will also have a new Braeburn Coffee Café, a Bakewell deli, as well as Burger King, Chopstix and Subway restaurants.

Midway now features restaurant-style seating, a newly enhanced public space, upgraded toilet facilities and there are plans to install a new driver exercise zone on the site.

From today, the site will feature the best of M&S Food, including fresh fruit and salads, Irish sandwiches, convenient lunch and dinner options, and a selection of other iconic M&S favourites.

The opening of the new Midway is the seventh M&S Food outlet that Applegreen has opened this year, bringing the total to 13.

This will be the first time that M&S Food products are available in Co. Laois.

In addition to the introduction of M&S Food, Applegreen Midway will provide a fully operational service-station forecourt where customers can relax and refuel.

The €3 million investment underscores the Irish company’s ongoing commitment to providing quality products and services to its customers on the go.

Applegreen will employ a total of 56 staff at Midway.
