Bookstation, the Irish bookseller and stationer, has opened its latest store in the Crescent Shopping Centre, Limerick, marking its 19th location across Ireland.
The retailer claimed that this expansion comes as part of the company’s ongoing growth strategy, with a new store set to open in Omni Retail Park, Santry, Dublin, this autumn.
‘Busy Retail Destination’
“We are pleased to bring Bookstation to the Crescent Shopping Centre, one of the busiest retail destinations in Ireland,” said Gerry Gallagher, founder and managing director of Bookstation.
“This new store allows us to better serve the book-loving community in Limerick, and we look forward to welcoming customers from the area.”
New Jobs
As part of the company’s expansion, Bookstation plans to create approximately 12 new jobs across its new stores, contributing to local employment in the communities that it serves.
Bookstation noted that further growth opportunities are being explored, with additional locations expected to be announced in the near future.
Expansion Plans
The upcoming opening in Santry will bring the total number of Bookstation stores to 20, with more expansion plans on the horizon.
Founded in 1990, Bookstation is a 100% Irish-owned company, operating 19 stores nationwide, along with an e-commerce platform.
Omnichannel Presence
The Irish bookseller and stationer claims that the Limerick store is part of Bookstation’s broader plan to increase its presence nationwide, reflecting the growing demand for affordable books, stationery and cards.
The company attributes its expansion to its focus on delivering quality products at competitive prices, alongside a strong omnichannel presence that caters to both in-store and online customers.
