Suzanne Weldon, the current marketing and communications director at BWG Foods, has been appointed as BWG’s Spar Ireland representative on the International Spar Guild.
The Guild is the global council of Spar International retailers and wholesalers made up of Spar operators from around the world.

Commenting on her appointment, Suzanne Weldon said that she is delighted to represent BWG and Spar Ireland at an international level.
“I look forward to supporting our international Spar colleagues globally and sharing BWG Foods experience as the market leader in convenience retailing in Ireland,” she added.
Weldon joined BWG Foods in 2004. Prior to joining the group she was the director of marketing and communications for the 2003 Special Olympics World Summer Games.
In this position, she jointly received accolade of Marketer of the Year in 2003.
She also served as President of the AAI (Association of Advertisers in Ireland) from 2015- 2017.
Spar International owns approximately 80% of BWG Foods, with over 12,700 stores worldwide. The group achieved retail sales of over €35 billion in 2017.
