Over 150 suppliers are expected at the Convention Centre Dublin today to access nearly 1,000 retailers from across Ireland as part of an event hosted by BWG Foods.
The operator of the Spar, Eurospar, Mace and XL brands is staging the event to give both indigenous and multinational suppliers access to local independent retailers from its network of stores, which boast a combined annual turnover of €1.6 billion.
BWG Group chief executive Leo Crawford commented, “This event presents a unique opportunity for food and beverage companies to pitch directly to independent retailers, allowing them to explore potentially lucrative new business opportunities.
“This is the fifth consecutive year we have hosted this event which brings together Ireland’s largest group of independent retailers and we are especially delighted to see so many indigenous Irish companies pitching their wares and showcasing some of the very best of food and beverages on our doorstep.”
