BWG plans to grow overall store numbers at its Spar and Eurospar networks by 20 stores in the next 12 months, the business announced today at its bi-annual Fresh Focus convention.
The event saw hundreds of retailers who represent about 450 Spar, Spar Express and Eurospar stores throughout the country gather to hear from BWG management and high profile guest speakers including the Olympic silver medallists Gary and Paul O’Donovan.
BWG Foods used the event to highlight how grocery retailers can respond to the improving economy and grow their businesses despite challenges such as continued food deflation and Brexit.
Leo Crawford, Group Chief Executive, BWG Group said, "We believe that convenience is high on the agenda for Irish consumers and we are working with retailers to help them attract new customers and grow revenues by focussing on fresh food, innovation and digital trends to give consumers what they want."
