BWG Foods’ marketing department has been recognised at a number of high-profile industry awards, with the team shortlisted for the Marketing Team of the Year Award at next week’s prestigious All-Ireland Marketing (AIM) Awards.
The All-Ireland Marketing Awards programme, organised by the Marketing Institute of Ireland, considers itself the nation’s premier platform for recognising the success of Irish marketing professionals and acknowledging their major contribution to the ongoing process of strengthening the economy on the island of Ireland.
These awards are considered the Oscars of the industry, BWG highlighted.
AIM Awards
The Londis and SPAR marketing teams have also been shortlisted at the AIM Awards: SPAR for the Sponsorship Management Award, for the SPAR FAI Primary School 5s sponsorship, while Londis is shortlisted in the ‘Advertising Campaign’ category, for the ‘Londis Listens’ campaign, which was designed to emphasise ‘just how connected the brand is to its customer base’.
The night of 19 May promises to be a busy one for the Londis team, as it is also shortlisted as a TAMI (Ireland’s TV Planning Awards) Award finalist in the ‘Sponsorship’ category for Ireland’s Fittest Family, with both ceremonies taking place on the same night.
‘Prestigious Success’
BWG noted that Londis has already achieved ‘prestigious success’ this year, as the brand won the Best B2C Award for its national advertising and social-media campaign, ‘Overheard in Londis,’ featuring Liam and Des, at the prestigious Eir Spider Awards 2022.
This highly competitive category recognised Londis’s submission as a ‘compelling, provocative B2C campaign that successfully drove brand awareness, perceptions, and performance.’
Looking for big, bold, provocative, aspirational and emotional work, the judges selected Londis’s very popular campaign as the winner.
The MACE brand was also represented at the Eir Spider Awards, as a finalist in the ‘Best Integrated Media Campaign/Strategy’ category, for the MACE Smiles with Johnny Sexton programme.
