Centra has launched a revamped, state-of-the-art store in Ferns Co. Wexford following a significant investment of €2.7 million.
The convenience retailer launched the store on 15 March, and is set to offer in the store high quality produce.
Brand names include the Happy Pear range, Inspired by Centra range, Prepared by Our Butcher range, the own brand Centra range, Moo’d Ice Cream and Frank & Honest Coffee.
Upgrades
The store will now include an improved hot and cold deli counter.
It will also include a larger off-licence with an extensive range of beer, wine and spirits.
A seating area has also been added to the premises, able to accommodate 25 diners.
Owners of the store Patrick and Claire Pierce Durack took over in November 2016. Since then, they have continued the tradition previous owners maintained of supporting the local community.
Centra Ferns has supported many local charities, schools and sports teams such as Ferns Men’s Shed and the Wexford under 14s camogie development squad.
As part of the upgrade, Centra Ferns has incorporated a number of sustainability improvements.
These include refrigeration upgrades, LED lighting and electronic SELs.
The new measures aim to increase efficiency and reduce energy consumption across the store.
