Eartlier this year, Checkout Magazine teamed up with Ignite Research to launch ‘Where We Shop’, a definitive guide to the shopping habits of Irish consumers; county by county and store by store.
Developed from a survey of 3,000 consumers across all age profiles and social classes, this report is designed to be the most accurate barometer of how and where Irish shoppers are spending, and where they feel Irish supermarkets could do better.
In addition, the ‘Where We Shop’ report features a regional focus, analysing the shopping habits of consumers in Dublin, Rest of Leinster, Munster and Connaught/Ulster, offering the most comprehensive read of current consumer shopping habits in each province.

“A lot has changed for consumers over the last few years, we know consumers are both increasingly money conscious and more savvy in their decision making," said said Mark Nolan, Managing Director, Ignite Research. "Ignite Research are delighted to be involved in this exciting research with Checkout, which will provide a real understanding of how and where the Irish consumer shops.
“The research will help to understand our obsessions with finding value even when it comes to grocery shopping, as well as understanding any nuances that exist when it comes to Irish grocery shopping.”
