Checkout Magazine has launched a new podcast, increasing its reach across digital platforms in delivering retail and FMCG news.
The new podcast – Stock Take – is set to be released once a month, rounding up the biggest retail stories in a quick five to ten minute episode.
October’s Stock Take covers the National Grocery Retail Awards, Kantar’s October market results, Lidl Ireland’s Halloween store opening, and the sale of Healy’s supermarkets in Meath.
The podcast is currently available on most media channels, with its reach set to expand in the coming months.
Speaking about the new venture, journalist and digital communities executive at Checkout Magazine Sarah O’Sullivan said, “We are very excited to launch the first episode of our new podcast.
“As the digital landscape changes, we want to be at the forefront of the new ways readers are consuming the news.
“Stock Take has been a great place to start, but we hope with time to expand into interviews and to do what we do best – tell stories about the industry.
“This new format also offers a chance for us to point readers to the biggest stories, and perhaps reach a wider audience.
“The news certainly moves fast – it’s nice to stop for a minute and take stock!”
