Circle K Extends Partnership With The Jack And Jill Foundation

Circle K Ireland has extended its partnership with the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation for another year, it was announced today.

The now three-year partnership with the children’s charity and the forecourt and convenience retailer will see at least €500,00 raised through nationwide campaigns during the year.

The announcement also marks the €370,000 raised by the company to date for the charity.

These funds came from campaigns such as ‘Miles for Jack and Jill’ and Circle K’s annual Christmas car wash.

The car wash saw €1 from every car wash sale the week before Christmas donated to the charity.

These campaigns have resulted in the provision of over 20,000 hours of in-home nursing care and respite support via the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation.

By extending the partnership, Circle K is redoubling its support for the charity that enables families across Ireland to care for their sick children at home.

The Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation delivers in-home nursing, respite support and end-of-life care for children from birth to six years of age who have highly complex and life-limiting conditions.

The organisation announced recently that it had reached a significant milestone of supporting 3,000 families since its beginning in 1997.

Currently, there are over 400 children under the care of the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation across the country.

‘Incredibly Important To Us’

Speaking about the extended partnership, the managing director at Circle K Ireland, Ciara Foxton, said, “We are delighted to announce that we are renewing our partnership with the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation for another year.

“This partnership is incredibly important to us, and we are proud to have raised €370,000 in just two years, providing much-needed support to many families across Ireland.

“Reaching this crucial fundraising milestone would not have been possible without our customers, colleagues and dealer partners, and I would like to thank them for all their ongoing support.

“Customers can continue to help us in our fundraising efforts for the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation in the months to come by supporting several fundraising initiatives, and we will be announcing more details of those campaigns soon.”

Deirdre Walsh, the chief executive of the Jack and Jull Children’s Foundation, added, “It will take approximately €7.5 million to fund and provide our vital in-home nursing care service and end-of-life support in 2024, with an estimated €1.7 million of our funding coming from the HSE.

“That’s approximately 22%.

“We need ongoing supporters to fund our ongoing care commitment of up to six years per child and family.

“However, this is a real challenge against the backdrop of the current cost-of-living crisis and increased charity appeals putting huge pressure on our fundraising model.

Walsh concluded, “We are thrilled that our friends in Circle K are extending our partnership for another year and want to thank all Circle K Ireland staff and customers for their ongoing support of Jack and Jill families in communities across the country.”
