Circle K Ireland has today launched its new retail loyalty scheme – Extra – which will reward members on savings every time that they fill up.
In a survey, the fuel retailer discovered that people love being recognised by retailers for being loyal, with 70% saying that they are likely to spend more with a retailer that rewards them for it.
Circle K’s Extra programme will replace its Play or Park scheme from today and offer customers more rewards and special offers than it did before.
To get started, customers should download the Circle K app on either the App Store, for Apple devices, or Google Play, for Androids, and register.
Tiers
From now until 31 July, Circle K has a special offer in place for people who sign up (and all members of Extra) to save 3c off every purchase of fuel.
Following that, a tiered programme of offers will come into effect.
This will divide Circle K Extra members into three levels, determined by how often and much they spend in Circle K.
The app will generate a card therein for each member, showing his/her/their level, and customers will be automatically moved up once they hit a specific spending threshold in a 90-day period.
The higher a member’s level, the more special offers and discounts that will become available to him/her/them.
Level 1 members get 1c off a litre of fuel with every purchase, Level 2 members get 2c off, and Level 3 members get 3c off.
Circle K will offer stamps on several brands and services, including dispensed beverages, car washes, cold drinks, sandwiches, wraps and rolls.
Customers can redeem a stamp with each purchase within the offer and, in doing so, receive their seventh stamp purchase for free.

Speaking about the loyalty scheme, the managing director of Circle K Ireland, Ciara Foxton, said, “For several years, we have been developing a loyalty programme to give our valued and loyal customers what they want, and to make their lives a little easier.
“We are proud to launch it today and give customers exactly what the name of the programme suggests – extra savings on fuel, as well as special offers on our customers’ most-loved products and services.
“By taking just a few minutes to register, customers unlock immediate rewards and can also avail of a special launch offer, with a fuel discount of 3c off every litre of fuel until 31 July.
“We are looking forward to welcoming both existing and new customers into Extra from today and rewarding them into the future.”
