Seafood firm Keohane's of Bantry has signed an export deal with Tesco UK, which is worth an estimated €1.3 million per annum to the Cork company. The deal will see Keohane's supply premium Irish fish and shellfish dishes to Tesco stores.
The contract will create four new jobs and will help to support 40 more at the company’s processing plant in Co. Cork. Keohane's already supplies Tesco UK with two frozen seafood products, Cod with Chilli Ginger & Lime and Haddock with Lemon & Cracked Black Pepper Butter.
“This is an extremely positive story of Tesco working with a quality local Irish producer to create a new export pipeline of growth,” said Conor Lynch, Tesco Wilton. “Keohane Seafoods offers excellent ‘tide-to-table’ traceable gourmet seafood products.”
