A Subway store on Cork’s Oliver Plunkett Street has won the franchise operator’s first National Store of the Year award for Ireland.
Franchisees Anna and Brian Kelly, who also hold the franchise to the Subway store in Ballincollig, have been running the store for eight years and employ four members of staff. Muriel O’Grady from Subway’s development team in Ireland presented them with a plaque to mark the achievement.
Neil Black, development agent for the Subway brand in Ireland, commented: “It’s a fantastic achievement for both Anna and Brian. They are both very popular within the local community and their store continues to go from strength-to-strength.
“The Store of the Year award rewards the store which excels in all aspects of business including performance, presentation and staff friendliness.”
