Daybreak Ireland Commits To '30 For 30' In Aid Of The Irish Heart Foundation

Daybreak and the Irish Heart Foundation have teamed up once again for ’30 for 30’ – a campaign that challenges Daybreak retailers and staff to commit to 30 minutes of exercise each day for the 30 days of September.

The latest campaign between Daybreak and its long-term charity partner will encourage participants to walk, run, swim or dance – there is no limitation on the exercise.

The goal of the challenge is for as many people as possible to get out and improve their fitness and heart health while raising funds for a great cause.

Over 160 Daybreak stores nationwide are taking part in the campaign over the month.

Participants will commit to completing 30 consecutive days of daily exercise, asking customers, family and friends to sponsor them to achieve the fundraising target.

‘Participation Over Perfection’

Speaking about the challenge, the assistant brand manager of Daybreak Molly Byrne said, “We are thrilled to continue our support for the Irish Heart Foundation through our annual active challenge, an event we eagerly anticipate each year!

“When designing this challenge, our priority was to create an inclusive campaign that Daybreakers of all fitness levels could participate in.

“The challenge is all about celebrating movement, emphasising participation over perfection, and allowing participants to engage at their own pace.

“Our goal with this initiative is to show that focusing on your health doesn’t have to be overwhelming; dedicating just 30 minutes a day to exercise can significantly improve heart health.

“Community is central to Daybreak, and we take great pride in supporting the Irish Heart Foundation and their remarkable mission to prevent death and disability caused by heart disease and stroke.”

Partnership

Daybreak has partnered with the Irish Heart Foundation since 2016, helping the charity provide essential resources and support to communities across Ireland.

The charity offers support to stroke survivors and those living with heart disease by offering various in-person and online services.

On the ongoing partnership,  the commercial director of the Irish Heart Foundation Judith Gilsenan said, “We are extremely thankful for the continued support and commitment from Daybreak.

“Our vision is a future where no hearts are broken by preventable heart disease and stroke and the generosity of Daybreak, and their customers can help us achieve this!

“We are so excited to kick off this year’s campaign and get active this September!”
