DE Peet's, one of the world's largest coffee companies, on Wednesday reported a 2% rise in full-year core profit that beat analysts' expectations, and forecast "stable" gross profit for 2022 despite strong inflation. Shares surged 8.6% to €28.56 euros by 0919 GMT. Full-year earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) came in at €1.30 billion ($1.47 billion).
Did you know ...? Dutch retailer Jumbo has announced plans to adjust its management structure and expand its omnichannel approach as part of a new 'Long-Term Plan' unveiled by management. Under the terms of the plan, the number of management tiers at the business will be decrease from three to two – consisting of a supervisory board and a management board, which will be led by Frits van Eerd as general manager. The board of directors will be discontinued, with directors Colette Cloosterman-van Eerd and Ton van Veen added to the Supervisory Board.
