Did you know...? Swiss retailer Migros has introduced plant-based, hard-boiled eggs, which it claims is a first in the world. This month, the 'V-Love The Boiled' SKU will be rolled out in select Migros branches of the Zurich, Basel, Lucerne and Geneva cooperatives, the company added. The alternative egg has been developed in-house by Migros Industrie in Switzerland and results from years of research. The egg is manufactured in Switzerland by ELSA, a Migros subsidiary.
Did you know...? French retailer Auchan has announced that it supports the creation of the Planet-Score environmental labeling system as it aligns with the brand's commitment to promoting greater transparency across its product range for consumers. A founding member of La Note Globale since 2018, Auchan aims to promote the project, executed by the Institute of Agriculture and Organic Food (ITAB), and see the new labeling as the environmental display of reference. Planet-Score was submitted to ADEME and the Government in 2021 as part of a call for projects to experiment with an environmental labeling system and was selected by the Citizens' Convention.
Did you know...? Bewley's barista Wojciech Tysler has been ranked sixth in the World Barista Championship Finals. Bewley's stated, "Bewley's Barista and 2019 Irish Barista Champion, Wojciech Tysler, was today recognised as the 6th best barista in the world at the World Barista Championships in Milan, Italy. The World Barista Championship is the preeminent international coffee competition produced annually by World Coffee Events (WCE). Representing Ireland for the second time in the World Barista Championships, Wojciech competed against more than 50 country champions from all around the world to get to today's finals in Milan.
