Did you know ...? This year, Pink Lady Europe has relaunched its Adopt a Tree campaign in Europe. Launched four years ago, the Adopt a Tree campaign allows all Pink Lady consumers to sponsor a tree. During the seven months of apple growth, they will receive information from the producer on the life cycle and production methods, until they are invited to the orchard for the harvest next autumn. For this 5th edition, the operation is open in seven countries with more than 6,500 trees at stake, spread over seven orchards that are now waiting for their sponsor.
Did you know ...? The Dutch retail sector recorded 8.5% year-on-year turnover growth in February 2023, according to the latest figures from Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek (Statistics Netherlands). The figures show that the volume of sales decreased by 2.9%, reports ESMmagazine.com. Turnover in the food sector was up by 10.5% and the non-food sector saw a 5.3% increase. Statistics Netherlands noted that retail turnover data has been adjusted for the shopping-day pattern in February. Retail sales tend to vary from one day to the next.
