Dublin Airport has issued an open call for firms to apply to run one of its most prominent concessions, according to Fora.ie.
The DAA is seeking an operator to run a convenience store and delicatessen at the ground level of Terminal 1’s car park.
Heavy Footfall
The heavily traversed area is beside the main bus station for the airport and the busiest terminal in Ireland. It sees a minimum of 350,000 departures annually.
Fora report that the 330 square metre store is expected to generate €40 million in sales over a ten-year period.
The DAA expect bidders to deliver a “high-quality” convenience store experience, including a hot and cold delicatessen and a “strong coffee offer”.
The successful bidder will be able to reconfigure the layout of the of the unit to maximise the use of space, as Dublin Airport is also exploring the opportunity of creating a walk-through store in the Atrium.
