Dunnes Stores Seeks to Acquire Café Sol Holdings

Dunnes Stores is seeking to acquire the Café Sol Holdings food services group, Checkout has learned.

The proposed acquisition was notified to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission on 23 September, and has entered the Preliminary Investigation (Phase 1) process.

The deadline for any third parties that wish to make submissions regarding the competition aspects of the deal is 7 October.

Café Sol was established in 1998 and has its headquarters at Lower Baggot Street, Dublin. It operates eight cafes around the central Dublin area. The company's directors are Ciaran Emmet Daly and Jennifer Sheehan.
