Dunnes Stores is to unveil a new-look food department at its outlet in St Stephen's Green this Thursday (12 November).
The launch will form part of a reformatting programme being undertaken by Dunnes, with its Rathmines outlet also currently undergoing redevelopment of its food department.
Elsewhere, Checkout understands that Dunnes plans to 'transform' its café operations at several locations, following its takeover of Café Sol.
Last week, the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission granted approval for Dunnes' planned takeover of the café chain. In its statement, the Commission said that it had 'formed the view that the proposed transaction will not substantially lessen competition in any market for goods or services in the State'.
