Electric Ireland has today announced a 'landmark contract' with BWG Foods to supply electricity to over 1,100 retailers across Ireland.
The deal, which runs to March 2022, will supply electricity to convenience retail brands including Spar, Mace, Eurospar, XL and Londis stores, alongside BWG Foods’ 240,000 sq. ft National Distribution Centre in Kilcarbery, Dublin.
“Electric Ireland has a proven track record in delivering energy services for our retail outlets across Ireland," Willie O’Byrne, managing director, BWG Foods said.
'Significant Agreement'
Electric Ireland stated that the agreement will see the supply of approximately 170 million kWh of electricity per annum to BWG Foods retailers across Ireland.
“This significant agreement recognises Electric Ireland’s position as the smarter choice for business electricity and demonstrates our versatility to manage large contracts for retailers and franchises throughout Ireland," Dermot McArdle, head of business markets at Electric Ireland, said.
"Electric Ireland is fully committed to providing our customers with the most relevant, affordable and flexible energy solutions across electricity and gas.”
