M&S Food is launching a new snack that will feature in the ‘M&S At New Year’ ITV documentary, airing tonight, 14 January at 9pm.
The new product is its High Protein Cheese Clouds & Marmite snack, developed in partnership with Fermoy-based Dairy Concepts.
It will be featured in tonight’s documentary, which follows the Marks & Spencer team as they develop new and innovative health products ahead of January 2025.
Dairy Concepts
Tom Brennan founded Dairy Concepts – an Irish dairy snacks company based in Fermoy, Co. Cork – in 2012.
The company currently employs 24 people from across the Munster region, and it is currently developing a portfolio of “world first” handheld dairy snacks for the global market.
As a result of this deal, Dairy Concepts developed High Protein Cheddar Cheese Clouds and Chilli Cheese Clouds.
This new documentary coincides with the launch of M&S High Protein Marmite Cheese Clouds, as Dairy Concepts adds to its current offering.
They consist of pieces of Irish cheddar cheese coated in Marmite powder and then baked to create a crunchy snack.
The Marmite Cheese Clouds are part of M&S’s High Protein range appealing to customers looking for snacks that offer a nutritional benefit – containing 7g of protein per 20g pack.
The ‘Inside M&S at New Year’ special will offer a unique glimpse into product development at Dairy Concepts’ Moorepark dairy research, as well as its development campus in Fermoy.
‘Fantastic Opportunity’
Speaking about the new product, M&S country director for Ireland and Northern Ireland Eddie Murphy said, “At M&S, we’re always developing innovative and exciting products that offer delicious flavour and great value.
“The Marmite Cheese Clouds snack demonstrate the great quality of Irish food production, thanks to our partnership with Cork producer Dairy Concepts.
“We’re excited to see them in the documentary and to bring this high-protein product to customers across the UK and Ireland.”
The CEO of Dairy Concepts Tom Brennan said, “We’re thrilled to expand our partnership with M&S and bring another innovative high-protein snack to the market.
“Being featured in the ‘M&S at New Year’ documentary is a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase our passion and expertise in developing innovative dairy snacks.”
