Forty Northern Irish companies Nominated for Irish Food Awards

Over 60 products from more than 40 Northern Ireland food and drink businesses have been shortlisted in the 2016 Blas na hEireann Irish Food Awards.

The Irish Food Awards, now in its 9th year, is the largest competition for quality Irish produce on the island. Companies from the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland participate in the awards.

Companies using the award logo on packaging have the highest recognition amongst Irish consumers. It guarantees buyers that they are purchasing a premium quality Irish product.

The winners will be announced at the start of October during the annual Dingle Food Festival.
