Supermarket Fresh – The Good Food Market will host four free simultaneous lunchtime concerts on 19 December. The Dublin Gospel choir will perform between 12noon to 2pm in every Fresh supermarket.
The four sets of gospel singers will entertain lunchtime shoppers with classics and chart music in the IFSC, Grand Canal Quay, Smithfield Village and Lower Camden Street branches. Organisers are also planning refreshments for the public that day.
Noel Smith, founder of Fresh, explained, "2014 has been a very busy year for Fresh, as we were shortlisted for the 'Retail Excellence Ireland' awards for the first time and we also opened up a brand new Fresh Supermarket in the IFSC. So, we've decided to celebrate Christmas in style by organising this free lunch-time concert series, in association with the Dublin Gospel Choir."
He added, "The Dublin Gospel Choir is a household name and we couldn't think of a better way of counting down to Christmas and the New Year than by entertaining our shoppers on their lunch-break this Friday,"
