The Food Safety Authority of Ireland issued notifications of three product recalls on Friday, 29 August 2016.
Independent Irish Health Foods Ltd. is recalling batches of organic sesame seeds, pack sizes 250g, 500g, 2.5kg and 5kg, and best before dates between 19/01/2017 and 22/01/2017, due to the possible presence of Salmonella. Point-of-sale notices will be displayed where the implicated batches are sold.
Lidl Ireland is recalling 2 litre bottles of Freeway Red Lemonade, best before date: end JAN 2017, batch code L26183, following complaints of undesirable odours and flavours. The spoilage is due to yeast in the batch. Point-of-sale notices will be displayed in stores supplied. No other Lidl products are known to be affected.
Unilever is recalling Ben & Jerry’s Cookie Dough ice cream tubs with batch codes L62110L011, L62111L011, L62112L011 and L62113L011, as they may contain small pieces of metal. Unilever has issued a press notice and in-store notices warning customers who have bought these batches of the issue.
