Earlier this week, Fyffes Ireland announced the return of ‘Ireland’s Fittest School’ – launched by Olympian sprinter David Gillick – for 2025.
Now in its fourth year, the competition aims to promote the importance of exercise, fitness, and healthy eating among young people.
Running for ten weeks from 20 January, the upcoming competition will include a new element, which sees the top four schools from each province competing head to head across four live regional events in April.
The top schools from Connacht, Leinster, Munster and Ulster will then progress to May’s grand finale, hosted by patrons Gillick and Irish fitness trainer Sharon Flanagan.
The winning school will receive a prize package with €8,000 worth of sports equipment.
School registration opens 6 January, and further details can be found online, at www.fyffesfittestschool.ie.
