Gala Retail will support local athletes and communities ahead of the Special Olympics Ireland Winter Games this week.
The games are taking place in Craigavon, Northern Ireland from 22 to 24 March.
The Winter Games comprises of two sports, Alpine Skiing and Floorball. Over 207 participants will be competing in what is gearing up to be one of the largest games yet.
For many athletes, this will be their first time competing at an all-Ireland level. The games were postponed in 2020 due to Covid-19.
This will be a qualifying event for the World Winter Games, which will take place in Turin, Italy in 2025.
2024 marks the tenth consecutive year that Gala has supported Special Olympics Ireland.
‘A Real Synergy With This Partnership’
Chief executive of Gala Retail Gary Desmond expressed his enthusiasm at the continuing partnership.
Desmond said, “Over the past ten years, we have witnessed first-hand the great work that Special Olympics Ireland contributes to communities across Ireland.

Matt English, chief executive of Special Olympics Ireland also welcomed the continued support from Gala.
