Spar has announced Cork food company Grandma Henvey as the winner of its first Food Producer Competition, meaning that its gluten-free porridge will now be supplied as part of the Spar Select range.
The new contract means that Grandma Henvey will now have access to more than 420 Spar and Eurospar stores nationwide, and the deal is predicted to be worth nearly €100,000 over the next 12 months.
Managing Director of BWG Foods, Willie O’Byrne, congratulated the company, saying, “We are delighted to announce this new partnership with Grandma Henvey and look forward to introducing their products to consumers across our countrywide network of Spar and Eurospar stores.”
Commenting on their win, Tim Healy of Grandma Henvey said, “We’re absolutely thrilled to have been awarded this opportunity and are really looking forward to seeing the response from retailers and customers.”
