Lidl Ireland has announced a new deal worth €6 million with Hassetts Bakery.
The two-year deal will see the family-run business supply Lidl’s network of 175 stores across Ireland with a brand-new chilled cake and dessert range.
According to the discounter, the Rachel H’s range created by Hassetts is exclusively available in Lidl stores nationwide now as part of their everyday listed range.
Welcoming the multimillion contract Noreen Foley, business manager, Hassetts Bakery, said, "At Hassetts we are committed to delivering quality and innovative baking and confectionery products.
"Through Lidl’s ongoing investment in our business, we have had the opportunity to upscale production and make substantial investments in our business operations. We have created new jobs in the locality and have increased our workforce with eight recent hires."
New Additions
The new exclusive deal will see the addition of four chilled cakes to Lidl stores nationwide, which includes:
- Rachel Hs Vanilla & Custard Slice
- Rachel H's Coffee Cream Slice
- Rachel H's Jam & Cream Donut
- Rachel H's Chocolate Cream Éclair
'Quality And Taste'
Established in 1984, Hassetts Bakery first started to supply Lidl in 2020 with a Handcrafted Vanilla Gateau.
