Iceland has today (Tuesday 14 August) opened the doors to its newest Irish store in Roscommon Retail Park, Circular Road.
The new 11,500 sq. ft. store will reportedly bring 20 new jobs to the western region.
"Roscommon is our 24th store to date so it’s an exciting time for the business as we continue with our expansion nationwide," said Ron Metcalfe, managing director of Iceland Ireland.
"Iceland is proud to work with Irish suppliers and we’re excited to bring that great quality product and fantastic value to Roscommon."
New Appointment
The privately owned retailer also named Candice Lee as its new Roscommon store manager.
“I have worked with Iceland for the last 18 months and am delighted to now be appointed as manager for the new Roscommon store.
"I’m looking forward to bringing the Power of Frozen to Roscommon and meeting all of our new customers here in the coming days and weeks,” said Candice Lee, Iceland Roscommon, store manager.
Iceland is home to over 2,000 branded fresh and frozen grocery products and stocks over 500 products from over 30 Irish suppliers.
The retailer announced earlier this year that by the end of 2023, all of its own brand products will be plastic free.
