The Supermarket chain Iceland has announced it will open two new stores in Munster, creating 44 jobs, in Waterford and Midleton.
New Munster customers will be able to avail of a free Home Delivery Service on purchases of €30 or more.
This addition of two new stores marks Iceland’s seventh and eighth supermarkets in Ireland, forming part of the chain’s master plan to expand the business here over the coming five years, with plans to open sites nationwide.
Store Manager of Iceland Waterford Colm Barry commented, “We are delighted to open the Iceland Waterford store here on the Cork Road. This is a fantastic opportunity for the area and myself and the Iceland team are looking forward to serving our new customers over Christmas and into the New Year.”
Mush Hussain, Store Manager of Iceland Midleton added, “We are thrilled to open our doors to the community of Midleton in time for Christmas. Iceland is constantly adding to our growing list of Irish suppliers and we are excited to expand the offering in coming months.”
Ron Metcalfe, Managing Director of Iceland Ireland said: “We are delighted to be opening in both towns and serve the local communities of Midleton and Waterford, I would like to welcome all our customers to our new stores and wish staff all the very best.”
