Irish Grocers’ Benevolent Fund (IGBF) has announced the return of its annual Fun Run, taking place in May.
Now in its seventh year, the IGBF will host two Fun Runs – one in Mallow Race Course, Co. Cork on 17 May, and another the following week on 24 May at Leopardstown Race Course, Co. Dublin.
In Cork, participants can run 5k or 10k, while the Dublin run will involve a 6.4k route.
The IGBF supports people in the industry and their family navigate through challenging times.
This event aims to raise funds to support the charity and thus those in the industry in need.
The fun runs are a family fun day open to all, providing an amazing atmosphere with an entertainment and sampling area.
In addition to this, there will be face painting, special guest appearances, goodie bags and medals available for all participants.
Business and corporate entries can purchase 15 places at the run for €500 or 25 places for €750, while individual entries cost €25.
There are also sponsorship opportunities available, where sponsors can offer stock for goodie bags, donate raffle prizes or participate in the sampling area.
Those interested in sponsoring the event should contact the IGBF directly on Facebook or LinkedIn
More information about the events – as well as how to enter – is available on the IGBF website.
