IGBF Announces Gavin James As Headliner At Stocked Festival Fundraiser

Irish Grocers Benevolent Fund's (IGBF) has announced that Gavin James will headline the celebration of the grocery industry, called the Stocked Festival, on Thursday, 12 September at the Orlagh House, Rathfarnham, Dublin.

The festival will feature other musicians and comedians Deirdre O’Kane, Karl Spain, and Eric Lalor, according to a statement. Additionally, Ireland’s producers will provide food and drinks.

The profits from the festival will go to IGBF so it can give back to the grocery industry.

Leonard Hegarty, chairman, IGBF said, “We’re really looking forward to bringing something new to the trade this year; but continuing with the goal of all our events — to raise the funds necessary to support the individuals and families who need us.”

The charity IGBF financially supports people in the retail industry who are going through a difficult time, such as coping with the loss of a loved one. Retail brands including National Lottery, Centra, Circle K, Maxol, SuperValu, and Tesco, support the organization’s fundraiser.

Kari Daniels, president of appeals, Tesco Ireland, stated, “I’m delighted we’ve been able to bring a brand new and very different event to the grocery industry calendar to raise funds to support the IGBF.

“Stocked Festival is set to bring together music, food and comedy while celebrating the best of the grocery industry. I look forward to it raising much needed funds to continue to support the families and individuals who need the IGBF’s help.”

People can purchase an early bird ticket until Wednesday, 31 July, through the festival’s website.
